1965年生于临武，大专文化。湖南省美术家协会会会员、郴州市美术家协会副主席、资兴市美术家协会主席，湖南省作家协会会会员。 迄今已有300余篇〔幅〕作品散见于《全国第二届油画肖像作品集》《美术报》《当代中国美术》《当代绘画艺术》等20余家报刊及专业杂志。2003年，中国文联出版社出版了周华刚的诗、书、画专集《燎原的思》；2004年，郴州文化局、美协等7个单位联合举办了“周华刚郴州东江湖风情画展”和周华刚作品研讨会。2008年，华夏出版社出版《周华刚画集》。其中30余幅作品分别参加了全国，湖南省美术展获省银奖2幅、铜奖4幅、优秀奖多幅，许多作品还被加拿大、新加坡、北京等美术馆、画廊和私人收藏。现供职于湖南省资兴市文化馆。
Zhou Huagang, male, was born in Linwu in 1965. He has college education background and is a member of Hunan Artists Association, vice-president of Chenzhou Artist Association, chairman of Zixing Artists Association, member of Hunan Writers Association. So far more than three hundreds of his paintings have been published in 20 or so papers and professional publications like The 2nd National Portrait Oil Painting Work Collected, Art, Contemporary Chinese Art, Contemporary Painting Art. In 2003, his poem, calligraphy and painting special issue The thought Sparking a Prairie Fire was published by China Literature and Art Union Press. In 2004, Zhou Huagang Chenzhou Dongjiang Lake Landscape Art Exhibition and Seminar of Zhou Huagang’s Works were held by Chenzhou Culture Bureau, Chenzhou Artists Association and seven other units. In 2008, Zhou Huagang Painting Collected was published by Huaxia Publishing House. More than 30 pieces of his works attended national and provincial art exhibitions, two of which winning silver medal, four winning bronze medal, several excellence award.
